There's a lifetime between now and the November elections, but for those Democrats who are expecting a "blue wave" this fall, you might want to hedge your bets if this poll is to be believed. Because as Trump turns out to be much less of a disaster than promised, and people have a hard time seeing personally the doom and gloom that the news media is saying is all around them, his odds will improve even as he keeps disappointing some of his own voters. No question that the Democrats pick up House seats (that's been the way of it for decades - the new president's party loses seats in the mid-term), but their odds at taking the House are perhaps not what people (including myself) think that they are. Mueller is the wild-card in all of this, I suppose, and if he tries to drop an "October surprise" on things, that may change some minds. But it will also cement into mine that his entire investigation was only ever political in nature to start with...

A Nobel Prize for Trump and Kim Is No Joke
Al Gore won a Nobel Peace prize in 2007 for a PowerPoint slide show with inaccurate predictions and polar bears. Barack Obama won a Nobel Peace prize mere months into his presidency for not being George W. Bush. If Trump does not win a Nobel Peace prize for his role in this monumental achievement (still a long way to go, though), then the award is truly meaningless. I mentioned the possibility of a Peace Prize for Trump a couple weeks back and some folks (I'm looking at YOU, Justin Bainum!) thought me quite batty. Well it appears that the odds-makers think I might be on to something...

You're next, Bumblebee Man!! And since the character of Doctor Hibbert was an obvious caricature of Cliff Huxtable, he should go too, no?

The Hidden Bombshell in the McCabe Report | RealClearPolitics
"He (McCabe) said flatly that during the last months of the Obama administration, high-ranking Justice Department officials tried to kill the FBI’s on-going investigation into the Clinton Foundation. It happened in a phone call from DOJ’s third-highest official. Although unidentified in the report, the reference apparently is to Matthew Axelrod, whose title at the time was principal associate deputy attorney general." In case anyone was wondering what evidence of obstruction of justice actually looks like. Now granted, McCabe is already a proven liar, so it's hard to take his word here as gospel. But if what SHOULD happen actually happens, then he'll be losing a lot more than just his government pension.

Mike Pompeo hunts for Senate Democratic vote
A brief history of previous Secretaries of State... Under "obstructionist" Republicans: 2009: Hillary Clinton was confirmed by a 94-2 vote. 2013: John Kerry was confirmed by a 94-3 vote. Under obstructionist Democrats: 2017: Rex Tillerson barely made it out of the Senate Foreign Relations committee and squeaked by with a 56-43 vote. 2018: Mike Pompeo might not even get through. Never let any Democrat tell you that their elected officials put their country before their party, because that's absolute bull-shit.

Fake coupons are popping up promising free Starbucks coffee for African Americans
Ok, so they're fake coupons. But given the company's virtue signaling throughout the years, it sounds pretty darn believable, doesn't it?

North and South Korea are reportedly working to end their 65-year-old conflict
Let's not get out over our skis on this one. But if Trump helps bring about a formal end to the Korean War, he will have done more to advance the cause of peace than anyone thought possible. This is Nobel Peace Prize-worthy, and I'm not the least bit kidding. The bar for earning one of those has been lowered drastically, let's not forget. And let's admit it; many of you just now learned that the Korean War never formally ended...

Robert Mueller: ‘Many’ news stories on Trump-Russia probe are wrong
You could replace the word "wrong" with "fake" and not lose any of the meaning. Also of note is the word "many". Now he doesn't say WHICH stories are wrong, nor the details involved. But given the mis-reporting by Brian Ross pertaining to Michael Flynn, the mis-reporting concerning Donald Trump Jr, the mis-reporting about when the Trump people saw the WikiLeaks documents, and the fact that this link is not from any major news network, Mueller's comments here are unlikely to be heeded. Not by our news media, who still prize being FIRST over being CORRECT, and CERTAINLY not by the millions of people who are still looking to Robert Mueller the way Princess Leia looked to Obi-Wan Kenobi: "...you're our only hope."

Starbucks CEO: Employees to Get 'Unconscious Bias' Training
Back in 2013, former Starbucks CEO (and budding left-wing activist) Howard Schultz made waves when he publicly stated that customers carrying their firearms were not welcome in stores. Then in 2015, Schultz asked baristas to "Race Together" by encouraging difficult conversations as people were waiting for coffee before work. Later in 2015, a uniformed police officer in a Philadelphia Starbucks was told that he couldn't use the restroom without paying $12 for their cheapest coffee. So fast forward to this weekend - at the same Philly Starbucks, no less - and NOW the Starbucks CEO (different guy this time) is trying to avoid any responsibility by placing the blame on the cops. News flash, genius, YOUR people called the cops!! So if anyone is wondering, the answer is no, I'm not shedding any tears over Starbucks' problems at this point in time...

Amazon Charts Top 20 Books
Jordan Peterson is a Canadian psychologist and professor. He's perhaps most famous for his recent interview for this book whereby the female interrogator (if you've seen the interview, you'll understand my word choice) is left absolutely speechless by Peterson's rather reasoned defense of his position. As a result of this exchange, Peterson's book has been ranked at or near the top of Amazon's best seller list for a couple months now. As of this link, his book is #1 Most Read and #2 Most Sold (was #1 last week). Why do I bring this up? Try to find Peterson's very popular book on the New York Times best seller list. I went back four or five weeks before NYT asked me for money. No trace. More evidence of media bias? Well, what do YOU think?
