On this day in US History: The Senate confirmed Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood and EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson. By this point, president Obama had most of his cabinet positions installed despite Republican "obstructionism". Now many will defend this delay, citing the talking point about paperwork not being submitted in a timely fashion and whatnot. But, as one Senator is quoted as saying: “I’ve noticed that the questioning frequently has an edge to it,” said Senator Susan Collins, Republican of Maine. “That is not to say that there aren’t legitimate questions to be asked of the nominees. But it’s the way they’re asked that I’ve found to be different this time.” This is next-level obstructionism. Kind of makes you wonder who is now the one allegedly putting party before country...
