If there was ever a more dead-on-arrival piece of legislation, boy I sure haven't seen it!! I'm somewhat encouraged that the bill has twelve co-sponsors. But I'm a good deal LESS encouraged when I see that not a single one of those twelve are Democrats (according to GovTrack). Draw whatever conclusions make you comfortable from that information. My conclusion? That the Democrats don't see lifelong politicians as a problem. And looking at the tenure of their leadership, that comes from the top...
