The Democrat in charge of getting other Democrats elected to the US House believes that they ought to broaden their appeal and maybe not be quite so intransigent on a few issues. He's right, of course. But his proposed flexibility is being met with exactly the same #resistance that you might expect from the open-minded sort of people on the American left. Now if one was thinking clearly and rationally, one would think that if one's ultimate goal was to get Donald Trump impeached and end this long nightmare that one believes one is in, one would do whatever is necessary to take back the House of Representatives and actually begin the formal process. But clear thinking seems to be in short supply over there these days...
