A few days before Christmas, CNN ran an in-depth story on a new children's book about a gay black Santa. For over FOUR MINUTES they droned on and on about it, heaping praise on the author who basically admitted that he wrote it to troll adults, not inspire children. Now in truth, the last couple days for me have been tied up with seeing family and watching Ralphie shoot his eye out, but I'm going out on a limb here and saying that I'm doubting CNN has bothered to cover this significant story. No mention of it on CNN's home page, and the front of their "World" section has a lead story with the headline "Topless protester tries to grab baby Jesus figure at Vatican". I normally give the media a hard time, because they deserve it, but kudos to them here for actually painting a more fair picture. What's curious, though, is how suprised everyone reacts. They were SURE that their taxes were going up. I can't blame them, really. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren and Chuck Schumer and countless other Democrats had been lying to them for months about what the Republicans were actually trying to do.
