Analysis from Liberal Tax Policy Center: Actually, EIGHTY PERCENT of Americans Get a Tax Cut Under the GOP Plan

"Bottom 80% currently pays 33% of all federal income taxes, but gets 35% of the tax cuts. Top 1% currently pays 27% of all federal taxes, but gets 21% of the tax cuts. So the share of all federal taxes paid by wealthy will rise." It is a quote that should mean nothing to the left, except that it comes from their side. The Tax Policy Center is a joint venture between the Brookings Institution and the Urban Institute. The latter of which was founded by mister Great Society himself, LBJ. Now I'm not going to sit here and tell you what's going to happen based on a bill that I've neither read nor care to read. What I WILL tell you is how the media will spin it. Negatively.
